1. Talk To Them About Online Safety

Step one to online safety is educating your children about potential dangers on the internet. This helps raise awareness that online dangers exist and how to best avoid them.

2. Use A Parental Control App

A reliable parental control app will help you control and monitor your children's online usage. They'll allow you to block whole categories of content (e.g., gambling and adult content) so you can minimize exposure to harmful content.

3. Disable Location Tracking

It can be a good idea to disable location tracking for all apps except the parental control app. This will help keep personal details private.

4. Monitor Social Media

Make sure their social media accounts are private, and pay attention to who they're following and who's following them. If you allow your kids social media access, we recommend utilizing kid-friendly versions of the apps.

5. Use The Screen Time App

Monitor what apps your children are using the most and how often they're using them. You can view reports of time spent on specific apps and set limits.

6. SafeSearch

SafeSearch is a tool offered by Google. Enabling SafeSearch will filter out explicit content from appearing in Google search results.
